residence -> 居住
My place of residence is very nice.
be from -> 出身で

move -> 引っ越す
I moved from Sapporo to Sendai last year.
hometown -> ふるさと
Fukuoka is my hometown.
city -> 都市
town -> 町
That town has become a city.
countryside -> 田舎
I am from the coutryside.

ペットを英語にすると。。
dog/puppy -> 犬/子犬
cat/kitten -> 猫/子猫
goldfish -> 金魚
hamster
guinea pig -> モルモット
rabbit
parrot -> オウム
lizard -> トカゲ
turtle -> 亀
となります。

Because puppies are pretty.
What is the difference between a cat and a kitten?
cat are big cat, kitten are small cat.
Why do you like hamsters.
Because hamasters are cute.
Why do you want to have a rabbit?
Because I want to relax together with the rabbit.
Why do you want a turtle as a pet? -> なぜ亀をペットにしたのか?
I can relax while I watch the turtle slowly moving.

英会話で仕事を聞く時と答える時。単語の端々は聞き取れるけど。。
今日もDMM英会話で勉強を。
金曜日は仕事から帰って体調が悪かったので英会話レッスンすることができませんでした。。
1日休むと休む癖がつくので気をつけないとな。。
って思いました。
今日はちょうど1週間前に教えてくれたセルビアの講師の方を指名しました。
(DMM英会話では気に入った講師を「お気に入り登録」できて、お気に入りから空いている講師を検索することができます。)
1度レッスンしたということで初めの自己紹介はなくそのままレッスンへと入りました。
仕事に関する質問

1レッスン25分ですが、今日の課題が20分で終わったので5分余ってしまいました。
そのときに講師に

と聞かれ、「would you like」「of the class?」は聞き取れたのですが、その他が聞き取れなかったので質問内容が分からずSkypeにタイピングしてもらいました。
こういう端々の単語も聞き取れるようになりたいですね。
